Violet started pre-school today! The school Quentin attends had an opening in her age group - we are so happy. We thought she wouldn't be able to start until the end of May, which was going to leave us juggling since I go back to work on Monday. We decided to do a trial run today and she did great. There was some serious crying when we dropped her off, but her teachers said that she calmed pretty quickly and had a very good day. They said she ate a good lunch, took a short nap, and really enjoyed playing with the glue, scissors and pliers. Of course, after nearly 2 months of trying to keep anything even remotely sharp out of her mouth, we about had a heart attack when we walked in and saw her playing with scissors (rounded tip) and pliers (needle-nosed). But, the surgeon said she doesn't have any restrictions any more, so we just have to let it go and pray that nothing happens to damage her palate. When we showed up to get her, she just smiled and laughed and didn't seem in a big hurry to leave. We're so thankful that her day went well today.
Here is a picture of Quentin and Violet before school this morning. She looks worried, doesn't she? :)

Take care and love you all!
